A Perfect Guide to A Healthy Skin

You want a healthy skin; we have the guide to it. The one thing you have to keep in mind is, you need not stress about following a long, complicated skin routine, spending on innumerable skin products, applying them endlessly and to no good. Skin care is all about looking out for the little things we usually tend to ignore. It is all about going for the basics!

The Skin Care Basics

1. Know your Skin Type and Tone

Every individual is different and so is their skin. So, why should the skin care routine be the same? What we usually tend to do is just pick up any product we find without even checking thoroughly what it contains. However, the thing is what wonders one product may do for a certain skin type and tone can do the exact opposite for some other. Your skin can be oily or dry or a combination of both. It can be sensitive. Or it can be absolutely normal. Your skin tone can be light, dark or normal. Every skin type and tone struggles with different problems and there are different ways to address those problems. So, before you choose your skin products, look your skin carefully and determine its type and tone.

2. Cleaning must be Preached

Your skin is typically exposed to dust, dirt and impurities. And these impurities stick to your skin even if you don’t set your foot out even of your bedroom door. So, it is important to follow a proper cleansing for your skin to keep your skin clear of all the dusts and impurities. Wash your face with a face wash suitable to your skin type and tone often, just not too often. Washing the face too much can abrade the skin of its natural oils and make it excessively dry causing it to flake. So, cleansing your face once in the morning and once at night shall be enough. Also use a skin toner later to remove any small pieces of impurities remaining after washing your face.

3. Moisturize and Exfoliate Well

Your skin needs moisture to breathe. While the sebum provides it with natural oils, it also needs some additional moisture. So, be sure to apply a good moisturizer to every inch of your skin. But be sure to not apply a lot of it, especially if you have oily skin. It is better to use a gel-based moisturizer on oily skin. Cream-based moisturizer work well with dry and normal skin types. Also exfoliate your skin at least once a week with a gentle scrub to clear off the black heads and white heads and bring those skin pores to life.

4. Keep Sun a Far-Off Relative

Sunlight exposure is one of the major causes of skin cancers. It can also cause other skin problems such as sunburn or simply tan the skin. So, meet the sun less often and meet it with shields. Avoid going out in the heat in the noon time when the sun is high above head. If you at all have to go, use a sunscreen with an SPF of at least 15. You can use hats and caps for more protection. You must use sunscreens even if you stay in, because the sunlight reaches into the indoors too. So, wherever you are, a sun protection is a must.

5. Pay Attention to the Signs Your Skin Gives You

Your skin speaks a lot about your health. So, watch out your skin carefully and notice the signs it gives you in form of skin problems. Once you start paying attention to these signs, you will know what problems must actually concern you. There are common skin conditions we don’t take seriously, but they actually need professional help. You can read about them in the previous blog. So, do look out for your skin and never ignore the signs.

These are the simple things that will completely change the way how you feel your skin. Just take care of them and then plan your skin care routine. Because, there is no reason you should keep away from the bliss of a healthy skin!
